☀️Week 3 of Spending Time With My Sketchbook
I'm liking this weeks pages a lot more than last week but there was a bit of an issue towards the end! Whoops!

This week didn’t produce many pages, and this is actually going out late because I lost light to take photos of the past pages! WHOOPS! But its all here, lets go!
In case you missed the start of this here, is a quick lil behind the scenes of what I’m up to….
Last month I was SUPER busy and one of the first things to “go” was my daily sketchbook time! So since this is the MONTH of all Challenges, I thought why not try to get back in my sketchbook daily and share it here on Substack?
So that’s what I’m doing with daily check ins and then a written post each Sunday as a full look at the week! 🙂
I’m not particularly following a prompt list but if I find myself not knowing what to do I’m liking the looks of Peachtober, and Mosstober lists for ideas!
✨Day 13
Ok, so today I was feeling the Mosstober Prompt which was Sketchbook Page! So basically anything I wanted to create and in my sketchbook! So I thought, what is my favorite things to do in my sketchbook?
Turns out that answer is to documents days or moments. So I finally documented a moment from the summer that I hadn’t made time to sketch out. I noticed something too.
Isn’t it interesting how sometimes you go about a day and think, eh there is nothing sketchbook worthy to doodle today. Then later on you are like wait that day had so many little things to sketch?! Kinda cool! So, this was pretty fun!
✨Day 14
Today was SO nice because the sun was out and I got to go and enjoy it! Woo! Today’s prompt for Peachtober was brush.
Wasn’t sure what direction I wanted to go, but I kinda wanted to expand on yesterday’s and doodle a few more moments from the day I referenced yesterday. To keep everything cohesive I was to keep everything a similar style since they were side by side too. It worked out perfectly though because I was using a Tombow Brush Pen! See what I did there?!
These didn’t come out perfectly, but that’s ok! I like how they sit next to each other in the sketchbook!
✨Day 15 - Rest Day
Borrowing from Mosstobers Prompt from Yesterday and taking today as a Rest day! I was doing a lot of tedious computer work and as I was putting things on charge for the day I decided to read instead of visit my sketchbook.
BUT then a Wholesale order came in, so I worked on that a bit! Interestingly there were lots of art prints in the order and the coolest thing was that one of them was something I created earlier this year based on a page from my sketchbook! HOW COOL! ~Love when things like that happen!~
✨Day 16-18
After spending some time reading, I decided to just slowly doodle things from the book I was reading over the course of a few days and ended up with a lil spread.
I went back to playing with the Fountain pen too and I’m actually really liking it, still trying to remember that it doesn’t dry as fast as other things and to not smear it.
It was actually going well! Half of the spread was done and then I want sitting down to ink the rest and ummm somehow my teacup tipped over and made a bit of a mess and it touched the page that had already been inked🙃.
So my feathered star looks a bit smeared and has some surrounding weird blobs, and the next page feels weird. BUT that was the only damage so in reality that’s not too bad right?
I will say the the right side that was inked after the spill has some more mess lines. The paper texture changed a bit and some lines fizzled.

Overall I’m happy with the art that came out of this week. It wasn’t very colorful, but that’s ok! Sometimes just ink work is fun!
